COMMUNITY REINVESTMENT ACT STATEMENT
United Southern Bank is a community bank headquartered in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, with offices located in Christian County (3 locations in Hopkinsville, 1 in Crofton, and 1 in Pembroke), and Todd County (Clifty, Elkton, and Trenton).
The primary trade areas for Todd County locations are as follows:
- Elkton – city of Elkton, central Todd County
- Trenton – city of Trenton, city of Guthrie, south Todd County
- Clifty – township of Clifty, north Todd County
The primary trade areas for the Hopkinsville offices are the cities of Hopkinsville, Pembroke, Crofton and Christian County.

In an effort to help meet community credit needs, United Southern Bank communicates with city and county government officials, civic groups, community leaders, business leaders, and realtors. The bank engages in word-of-mouth advertising by the bank’s staff and its existing customer base to reach the entire community.
United Southern Bank extends credit to minority and non-minority churches and provides credit for residential home purchases and consumer products in low- to moderate-income areas of the more rural sections of the delineated communities. It extends credit to businesses in Todd and Christian Counties; however, more emphasis is placed on the more rural areas as those businesses have less access to credit. The bank also provides its community centers for various non-profit organizations.
Members of the bank’s Board of Directors, officers, and staff serve on various community and school committees that serve to enhance the quality of living. The bank’s president serves as a member of the Todd County Industrial Foundation Board of Directors and is a board member of the Hopkinsville-Christian County Economic Development Council.
The bank’s Board of Directors reviews the Community Reinvestment Act Statement each year and acts upon any material changes made in the interim.
